Fairway Outreach

Northwoods Golf wants to make a difference in our community. Former USC Coach Bobby Foster has been recognized for his efforts at outreach by the USGA. Thanks to his hard work, Northwoods received a special grant.

As part of our community outreach, we wanted to provide a chance for local youth to learn the game of golf. We are currently in the process of creating a clubhouse for these great kids at our driving range. They get to play on us when there is space available. We believe the game of golf will give these kids a chance to enjoy a sport for their lifetimes. Who knows? Maybe we’ll find the next Tiger Woods in our midst.

Seniors get special treatment at Northwoods. We have a senior program where these special patrons play on Mondays, 50 weeks out of each year. Playing for daily prizes, our senior friends are very competitive. They enjoy the game immensely and work toward building the prize money up for the tournament at the end of the year. The group spends 10 days each year playing at other local clubs. Daily fees are $20 with a yearly registration of $20, which includes handicap fees.

The Old Guard Senior Association is a local independent group that plays on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Interested seniors who love the game of golf should call the club for more information.
